Center for Inclusive Policy (CIP) Fellowship Program
The Research and Innovation Directorate (RID) is pleased to bring to the attention of the University community an opportunity under the Center for Inclusive Policy (CIP) Fellowship Program. This is a 12-month online fellowship designed to support emerging researchers with disabilities in strengthening their research and social policy skills. The programme is specifically directed at individuals with disabilities in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) and is intended for applicants with some research experience who are seeking to further develop their skills.
Who Should Apply
Applicants should:
- be a person with a disability;
- be based in the Global South or from an LMIC;
- be interested in social policy, research, and disability equality;
- be part of the disability movement;
- have basic research skills;
- hold at least an undergraduate degree; and
- be proficient in written and spoken English.
The fellowship is particularly interested in applicants who wish to work in areas such as:
- disability data;
- social protection;
- care and support;
- inclusive budgeting;
- community support systems; and
- independent living.
This year, the programme is also recruiting for a Disability Data Fellowship focused on quantitative data collection, disability-inclusive data, and basic data analysis.
Fellowship Benefits
Selected fellows will receive:
- a monthly stipend of USD 1,000 for 12 months;
- up to USD 2,000 for research costs or sponsorship for conferences/further training;
- coverage of reasonable accommodation costs;
- an online training curriculum;
- mentorship; and
- opportunities to participate in CIP research projects and connect with a global network.
