CurePSP New Investigator Award 2026
The Research and Innovation Directorate (RID) is pleased to inform the University community that applications are now open for the CurePSP New Investigator Award 2026.
The programme provides seed funding to support early-career investigators conducting innovative research on Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP) and Corticobasal Degeneration (CBD). The award is intended to generate proof-of-concept or pilot data that will position investigators to compete successfully for larger external research grants.
- Award Value: Up to US$100,000
- Project Duration: 1–2 years
Research Areas
Applications are invited for basic, translational, or clinical research that advances understanding or treatment of PSP and CBD. Areas of interest include, but are not limited to:
- Disease mechanisms and pathobiology
- Tau biology
- Neuroinflammation
- Epigenetics and epigenomics
- Synaptic dysfunction
- Lysosomal and glial biology
- Biomarker development
- Novel preclinical models
- Rehabilitation strategies
- Therapeutic development and translation
Eligibility
The programme is open to early-career investigators provided they meet the programme's eligibility requirements and conduct research aligned with the objectives of the award.
