Global Research and Technology Development (GRTD) Research Commissioning Centre Grant

The Research and Innovation Directorate (RID) is pleased to inform the University community of a funding opportunity under the Global Research and Technology Development (GRTD) Research Commissioning Centre. This call is for a rapid evidence review on agriculture and food systems for nutrition in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). The commission will produce a publishable synthesis of the global evidence base, updating the 2018 Ruel review and examining what the evidence shows about improving nutrition through agriculture and food systems.

The review will consider evidence in the following areas:

  • increasing consumption of nutritious foods;
  • tackling foodborne disease; and
  • scaling the impact of nutritious food systems data and interventions.

The opportunity is particularly relevant to organisations and research teams with expertise in evidence synthesis, systematic reviews, nutrition, public health, food systems, and agriculture.

Who can apply

  • legally registered organisations with the capacity to deliver high-quality research
  • individual organisations or consortia.
  • individuals are not eligible

Budget

  • £85,000
