The Institute of Statistical, Social and Economic Research (ISSER), University of Ghana, in collaboration with the Bureau d’Analyses Macro-Economiques (ISRA-BAME), Senegal, invites applications for the second Request for Proposals (RFP2) under the Future of Work Research Initiative – West and Central Africa Hub. This is part of the FutureWORKS Collective, a five-year, Southern-led research initiative funded by the International Development Research Centre (IDRC/CRDI).
The objectives of the initiative are to:
- generate high-quality, region-specific research on the future of work in West and Central Africa;
- promote evidence-based policymaking to address challenges shaped by digital transformation and climate change;
- strengthen regional research capacity, with a focus on youth, women, and marginalised groups.
Research projects are expected to focus on themes such as:
- digital technologies, AI, and automation in agri-based economies;
- climate change mitigation and the green economy;
- building inclusive skills for the future; and
- strengthening social protection systems.
Proposals may be submitted for Small/Pilot, Medium, or Large/Greenfield Research Projects, with sub-grants ranging from CAD 40,000 to CAD 100,000.
