The Research and Innovation Agenda programme on Radio Univers is set to return with a new season following the successful completion of its previous run in December 2025.
The programme, an initiative of the Research and Innovation Directorate (RID), will resume on Wednesday, 1 April 2026, and will air weekly from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. It continues to serve as an important platform for communicating research outputs, fostering public engagement, and highlighting the role of research in addressing national and global challenges.
The first episode of the new season will feature Prof. Yaw Agyemang Boafo, Associate Professor at the Centre for Climate Change and Sustainability Studies. Prof. Boafo is widely recognized for his work in climate governance, environmental sustainability, and the socio-economic dimensions of climate change, particularly in relation to vulnerable populations and urban systems.
He will lead discussions on the topic “Heat, Flood and Drought: What Climate Change Means to Urban Life,” offering insights into how climate variability is reshaping urban environments and what this means for resilience, planning, and sustainable development.
The episode will be hosted by Mrs. Pascaline K. Songsore, who will be taking on the role for the first time this season. Her debut is expected to bring a fresh perspective to the programme’s engaging conversations with leading researchers and practitioners.
Listeners can tune in for what promises to be an insightful discussion on the growing impact of climate change on urban living and the role of research in shaping adaptive and resilient cities.
