We foster a culture of innovation by encouraging creativity, problem-solving, and out-of-the-box thinking among students, faculty, and staff. By driving these initiatives, the Innovation Office ensures that the University of Ghana remains at the forefront of research, innovation, and development, making a meaningful impact both locally and globally.

  • Idea challenge

The maiden edition of the idea challenge finally took place, with students and graduates of the University of Ghana taken through master classes in business design thinking and ideation. This is to expose them to the world of entrepreneurship. After the master class, participants were grouped to solve a critical issue in society, with the winning team walking home with a cash prize. The impact of this programme is aimed at encouraging students and graduates to be entrepreneurs and in effect reduced unemployment.
