Prof. David Dodoo-Arhin, Director, (Research and Innovation) at the Research and Innovation Directorate (RID), welcomed a distinguished delegation from Penn State University to explore opportunities for research collaborations and strategic partnerships.
The Penn State delegation, comprising Prof. Peter Idowu, Prof. Sylvester Osagie, Prof. Levon T. Esters, and Prof. Mel White, who were hosted at the Directorate on February 11th 2025, discussed with Prof. Dodoo-Arhin, and Mrs. Irene Yeboaa Ashiley, Administrator (RID) potential avenues for knowledge exchange, capacity building, and development of global citizenship initiatives for members of both institutions.
This visit is in line with the University’s Strategic Priorities (2024-2029), which seek to foster international partnerships and innovation-driven research. The discussions focused on leveraging the strengths of both institutions to drive impactful research, enhance institutional capacities, and create opportunities for faculty, early-career researchers, and student exchange programmes. This engagement marks a significant step toward building a robust research network between the two universities, reinforcing their shared commitment to academic excellence and innovation.
