The Research and Innovation Directorate (RID) is pleased to inform the University community that the Medical Research Council’s Clinician Scientist Fellowship is open. This fellowship aims to support talented, clinically active healthcare professionals who have obtained a higher research degree in leading their own research, establishing their own research teams, and making the transition to independent researchers.

Award Details

The Fellowship will fund salary and project costs for up to five years.

 Eligibility

• Applications are welcomed from applicants of all nationalities, including those not currently based in the UK, however, this is subject to the fellowship being hosted by an eligible UK based research organization
• You will need to be registered with a regulatory body, such as the General Medical Council or the Health and Care Professions Council or have plans in place to hold the required registration by the proposed award start date.
